Season’s Greetings. Well, here we are living an entirely different holiday season than any of us have ever lived before, for anywhere in the world. What has stayed the same is, (perhaps in trying to feel some sanity and stability in these crazy times) is sticking to our traditions. In the USA, we celebrated Thanksgiving, and Christmas with our New Year approaching (rapidly if I say so myself).
Like always, with the New Year, comes our New Year’s resolutions … I don’t know about you guys, but for me it doesn’t really matter what’s going on in the world, my #1 resolution is to lose weight, and a lot of it. This has been my resolution for years, and I am sorry to say that for years, I have not had any lasting results. This year, I realize that this for me is not just about the basic weight loss programs. I have had to take a deeper look to see that there is something else going on with me. Starting with my family doctor, I had to make sure it wasn’t a tumor, or other malignant growth. I am happy to say it is not. Yeah. I am on my way to feeling good, and looking great!
With discomfort, and constant bloating, the insight is a swollen liver. I have a fatty liver and a pot belly from long term liver congestion. My liver has become enlarged, and swollen with greasy deposits of fatty tissue. My liver’s ability to metabolize fats has become severely compromised. It is very difficult, if not impossible to lose weight with a fatty liver. I must cleanse my liver to get it to return to functioning properly. So, I thought – great, and just how do I do that? This is about my making new healthy choices.
When I google it — 1000’s of solutions appear. Then, it occurred to me to speak up, and ask others with fatty livers what they have done. I decided to stop worrying, and take action. I also thought I could make this a blog series, as I uncover and discover what works for me. Welcome to my journey … I prayed, and asked for help.
